What is Act Serum?

If you have always been interested in PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment, or also known as Vampire Facial, but the idea of multiple injections bothers you; then this treatment is made for you. Act Serum is a rejuvenation treatment in which your own growth factors extracted from the blood will be processed to create a bespoke serum for your skin. This serum has abundant growth factors that can improve UV damage, wrinkles, acne scars and skin elasticity. It can also promote collagen and hyaluronic acid production so you can enjoy youthful skin.

In addition to the serum, our affiliated clinic also provides Meso Acthys (electroporation + mesoporation) if you are interested in a treatment that enables effective delivery of the serum into the skin. Using electric pulses to increase the permeability of your cell membrane, it enables ingredients penetration power of 300 times more than than topical application, and 70 times more compared to that of iontophoresis. It’s effective, painless and does not damage the skin.

Features of Meso Acthys

Meso Acthys can be beneficial in ensuring your skin gets the most out of beauty ingredients. Using the Meso Acthys device, an electric pulse will be sent underneath the layers to increase permeability of the cell membrane. The cell membrane will then ‘open’ its doors to the nourishing ingredients. The method of transdermally delivering active ingredients by utilizing electrorepulsion and electroosmosis is called mesoporation. By increasing the permeability of your cell membrane, the ingredients can work better to repair the skin from within.

How It Works

In this procedure, blood will be drawn from your arm. Next, platelets will be extracted to be concentrated, hence why it's called platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Platelets have growth factors, and these growth factors also function to regulate a variety of cellular processes in anti aging which helps with the skin recovery process and stimulate collagen. These active ingredients will then be combined with other substances to create your customized serum.

Procedure for Act Serum Therapy

1. Consultation will be done with the doctor to determine your suitability and skin concerns.
