While having single eyelids (or monolids) is not a medical issue, the lack of crease can be bothering. Some people have issues like obstructed vision, imbalance between both eyelids and others want eyes that appear bigger.

A1: Since local anesthesia is used, you will be awake and alert, but you won't feel any pain at the treatment site.

Q2: How do I prepare for surgery?
A2: In order to avoid any complications, it is best that you stop smoking, drinking, taking hormonal pills, herbal supplements and other medicines not prescribed by your doctor. If you have any illness, you must obtain a surgical clearance from your medical specialist.

A3: No. The use of local anesthesia makes this procedure painless.
