What is Eyelid Surgery?
One of the symptoms of aging is drooping of both the upper and lower eyelids. These conditions can reduce the field of vision and cause discomfort in your daily life. Fortunately, an anti-aging eye surgery can correct sagging skin, tissue and weakened muscles. For sagging eyelids, a combination of procedures is recommended for a natural and younger looking appearance.
Lower Blepharoplasty Procedure
To correct wrinkles and sagging on the lower eyelids and to correct eyebags or dark circles, the following procedure is performed:
1. An incision is made below the lower eyelid eyelashes.
2. Excess fat is removed or transpositioned.
3. Muscle and skin near the lower eyelids are tightened.
4. The incision is sutured.
Upper Blepharoplasty Procedure
To correct droopy or sagging upper eyelids, the following procedure is performed:
1. A full incision is made along the upper eyelid crease.
2. Excess fat is removed.
3. Remaining tissue is corrected by lifting.
4. The incision is sutured.
