What is Scalp Microneedling?
Scalp Microneedling is one of the effective methods to treat hair loss. The procedure has the same concept as the normal skin microneedling that micro-wounds will be created by the device to trigger natural healing and for the scalp to regenerate the health of hair follicles. The results may be noticed by the thickening of thinning hair as seen in androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness.
Scalp Microneedling Procedure
1. Topical anesthesia will be applied on your scalp 45 mins before treatment
2. A roller will be used to create small markings on the treatment area
3. Once the scalp microneedling is completed, the doctor may apply a soothing balm or serum to the area to alleviate inflammation and discomfort
