What is Signature Spa Treatment?

Spa and massages are known to be one of the ways available for body relaxation. Good skills and techniques of massage could help to ease the pain and aches that occur all over the body, depending on the activities you do daily. At our affiliated spa, there is a variety of traditional massage therapies that have been very well-known from the indigenous tribes of Borneo: Dusun Lotud Inan (The Paddy Field Massage), Palad (Palm of Hand Massage), and Tanggara (The Mountain Massage). These unique techniques of massages have been passed down from generation to generation until today.

Dusun Lotud Inan (The Paddy Field Massage)

The old-age signature massage practised and passed down from the Lotud Dusuns group, Dusun Lotud Inan, also known as The Paddy Field Massage, involves applying pressure to various pressure points on the body, especially focusing on the neck, shoulders, and back to relieve the tension and helps to alleviate the soreness on the strained muscles.

The procedure is soothing and uses a distinctive massage technique learned by the women in the rice-growing region that originally helped people to ease the aches and pains experienced after their days of backbreaking work at the paddy fields. From then, it has been passed down from generation to generation until today.

Palad (Palm Of Hand Massage)

Palad, known as Palm of Hand Massage, is a massage technique that uses the palm of the hand to apply sufficient pressure onto the body to help with rhythmic flows that stimulate blood circulation and relieve stress and tension experienced.
At our affiliated spa, the procedure is soothing and is recommended for first-timers as well as the elderly.

Tanggara (The Mountain Massage)

Tanggara, also known as The Mountain Massage, is a well-known massage technique specially focused on massaging the lower legs and then up towards the upper part of the body.
At our affiliated spa, the massage is recommended for jungle trekkers and mountain climbers who have been out for the adventures and feel the soreness at the end of the day.

For massages that focus more on the back, Dusun Lotud Inan and Palad are recommended.
