What is Baby Collagen Injection?
Over time, the ideal levels of collagen that our bodies naturally produce begin to deteriorate; collagen fibers break down or no longer be produced and this leads to skin "deflation" effect on the skin surface. Collagen is an essential ingredient for skin regeneration, without it the skin loses its luster and firmness, causing sagginess and wrinkles. For skin, there are 2 types of collagen that are important, collagen Type I and Type III.
Collagen Type I is responsible for retaining water, skin elasticity, and firmness; while type III has the role in supporting Type I. The combination of both types is known as "baby collagen", vital for natural skin repairing, growth, and regeneration of skin tissue, moisturizing factor, etc. which helps to revive youthful skin. Baby collagen is derived from placenta, no allergy testing required.
How It Works
Baby Collagen Injection works by extracting collagen from the human placenta rather than from animals such as bovine. The treatment saves time from having to undergo screening or animal testing; also, it avoids potential risks that may occur as the placenta is obtained naturally from human, not considered a foreign material to the body.
Baby collagen contains Collagen Type I and Type III at a ratio of 50:50 or 1:1; it has the property of being absorbed into the body by injection. The treatment is not recommended for lifting effect as it helps to replenish youthful skin by skin activation, reducing only the fine wrinkles and sagginess. Results can last between 6 to 12 months, depending on your skin condition.
Baby Collagen Injection Procedure

2. Indicating the areas to be treated

Baby Collagen Injection Vs HA Injection
Hyaluronic acid (HA) Injection is the most common facial filler known that helps to fill sunken areas of the face and keeps it hydrated; Baby Collagen Injection, unlike the HA injection, has essential growth factors that could help to nourish the skin and stimulate collagen production naturally underneath to maintain a healthy skin appearance. Other than the maintenance, the treatment has the ability to promote skin renewal as well.
