Also known as gynecomastia surgery, male breast reduction surgery is undertaken to resolve the enlargement of the male breasts, which can happen due to excessive fat, enlarged mammary glands or a combination of these factors. If breast enlargement is mainly due to enlarged glands, breast volume can be reduced surgically in a process called Subcutaneous Mastectomy, wherein breast tissues are taken out through an incision around the areola. <VASER Liposuction Procedure>
This method is best for patients with solid muscle bulk that can be felt. VASER is a specialised ultrasound technology that can break down fat cells using ultrasonic frequency waves. Once the bond between fat cells are broken down, the doctor will be able to remove excess fat through liposuction process (sucking out of fats using a cannula connected to a vacuum machine)

<Tumescent Liposuction Procedure>
A solution that contains a local anesthetic and drug called epinephrine will be injected to the targeted area. When the solution fills up the area, the skin will swell and become firmer, making it easier for the surgeon to contour the chest. Then, a cannula will be inserted into the fatty layer to suck out the fats. An elastic compression garment will then be worn to help the skin contract and heal.

In subcutaneous mastectomy, an incision is made around the areola and glandular tissue is removed. In liposuction, an incision is made at an area that is suitable according to the doctor and excess fat is removed through the use of a tube.
