What is Premium CT?

CT scans as many of you know it is a computed tomography scan that creates images of your internal organs, bones and tissues by using a combination of technology, X-Rays and a computer.

Premium CT can produce ultra-precise image with high accuracy especially in cardiac and cerebral angiography. Compared to the conventional CT, Premium CT reduces the radiation dose by 75% and acquire 640 images of 0.5mm interval with just 1 shot. With that, 2mm fine lesion can also be diagnosed. This is very suitable for children, adolescents and muscoskeletal systerm.

How It Works

CT scan uses a narrowed X-ray beam that rotates around your body and produce a series of images from various angles. A computer will then make use of the information to form a cross-sectional images and give a clear view of a slice view of what is inside your body. This process will often be repeated to produce a series of slices and the computer will stack them all to create a vivid clear image of your internal organs.

General procedure include:

1. Lie down comfortably inside a doughnut shaped CT machine
2. Table slowly moves through the scanner while X-rays rotate around your body

A2: Compared to "with contrast" CT scans which require the ingestion of contrast material (either by mouth or injection), "without contrast" CT scans do not require any such substances to be inserted into your body.

Q3: Do I need to fast before the screening?
A3: No, fasting is not required for the screening.
