What is Value EST / Echo Program Checkup?

Health checkups have always been one of the important things to do every year to update the health status and identify any potential risks to be aware of so that early diagnosis and treatment can be done in time.

At our affiliated hospital, Value EST / Echo Program Checkup is similar to Value Program Checkup but has an additional checkup option of Exercise stress test (EST) or Echocardiogram (Echo). The package focuses on the full-body checkup and there is a slight difference between the male and female as PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) would be done for male, and Mammogram with ultrasound breasts would be done for female

How EST / Echo Works

Exercise Stress Test is a non-invasive procedure performed to test how well your heart is working. The test involves assessing the heart's response to stress or exercise and compare the results to when the heart is at rest.

Echocardiogram, on the other hand, is a detailed static examination of the 4 chambers of the heart.
During the procedure, a transducer which is similar to a microphone would send out high-frequency sound waves on the chest at certain locations and angles; the sound waves would move through the skin and other body tissues to the heart in which the waves will bounce or "echo" off of the heart structures. The transducer then will pick up the reflected waves and send them to a computer for the results to be shown as the images of the heart walls and valves.

For the Exercise Stress Test, after the resting echocardiogram images have been taken, you will start to exercise on a treadmill or stationary bicycle until your heart rate reaches a goal for your age or to the point that you start having symptoms which limit your ability to keep exercising. The results will be compared to check your heart health.
