What are Dental Veneers?

Veneers are thin shells composed of tooth-colored materials that are custom-made and bonded to the surface of the tooth to enhance its appearance. With porcelain veneers, you can get perfectly aligned teeth that are pearly white or match your natural color. It’s a common method for smile makeover procedure. They are an ideal choice to conceal discoloration and give you beautiful white teeth almost permanently.

Types of Veneers

1. Porcelain / Ceramic / Zirconia
· Made in a lab
· More resistant to stain compared to other materials
· Requires multiple visits to the dentist to get it done

2. Composite bonding
· Made of resin that is shaped and bonded to a tooth
· Only needs 1 appointment to remove a small amount of tooth structure and bond filling material
· Does not resist staining as well as porcelain veneers

The type that is best for you can be decided by the dentist. Porcelain veneers are a preferred choice to fix teeth that are spaced, broken or stained. Usually, if the needed changes are minor and your teeth can still function properly, then composite bonding is a good option.

At our Affiliated, only porcelain veneers are offered.

How It Works

Dental veneers are ultrathin covering to be placed and bonded with your original damaged tooth. It is undetectable and very resistant to food stains such as coffee, tea, and even cigarette stains. The type of veneer used at our affiliated clinic is porcelain in which the color and appearance would be like just your natural teeth, and the bonding will be done with the most advanced and proven materials available. With proper care, veneers can be well-maintained over a decade with the same bright and shine effect.
