What is Deviated Nose Correction?
Deviated Nose Correction, also known as Deviated Septum Surgery and Septoplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to straighten the septum that has been deviated by either injuries or deformities since birth. The deviated septum could block the airway and lead to difficulty breathing; septoplasty fixes and widens your nostrils, allowing better airflow through the nose.
How It Works
Septoplasty is done by making an incision on one side of your nose to get direct access toward the septum. The deviated septum will then be corrected to move into the right position. If there shall be any barriers such as extra pieces of bone or cartilage, they will be removed. The mucous membrane will then be repositioned as a final step in the procedure.

FAQ
Q1: Is this considered major surgery?
A1: No, but it is usually recommended after you have ruled out other treatments for nasal blockages.
Q2: Will this change my nose shape?
A2: It may. However, the main objective of septoplasty is to only correct a deviated septum.
Q3: How long can the effect last?
A3: The treatment has a permanent result.
Q4: Is it true that this may change my voice?
A4: There were histories that some experience voice changes or that they may sound less hyponasal. However, that is not necessarily the case as septoplasty and vocal resonance have no relationship.
Q5: What if I feel like sneezing if I can't blow my nose?
A5: Of course, do not try to hold your sneeze. However, try to sneeze with your mouth open to minimize the blowing of your nose.
