What is Eyelid Surgery?

Double Eyelid
Double Eyelid procedure at our affiliated clinic uses suture technique. This very fine suture will be inserted into the eyelid skin at predetermined points to create a fold on the eyelid. The suture will then be secured and buried into the skin. The marks will not be visible and the finishing will look natural.
Lower Blepharoplasty
Corrects "bags" that form under the eyes due to excess skin or fat deposits. This often makes one appear tired. On the lower eyelid, the surgeon will make an incision below the lower lashes to remove the excess fat and/or skin to reduce puffiness and bulges.
Upper Blepharoplasty
Upper Blepharoplasty is done to remove fat deposits and sagging skin on the upper eyelids that can make one's appearance appear tired and sleepy, or get in the way of vision. An incision will be made on the upper eyelid at the natural crease, and excess fat will be removed to reduce droopiness. The aim is to produce fresher eye appearance and improve field of vision.

Q1: Will I be conscious during the surgery?
A1: Yes, you will be. Only local anesthesia with sedation will be used to eliminate pain and reduce anxiety. You will not be put to sleep as the surgeon will need you to move your eyes from time to time while the surgery is going on.
Q2: How do I prepare for surgery?
A2: In order to avoid any complications, it is best that you stop smoking, drinking, taking hormonal pills, herbal supplements and other medicines not prescribed by your doctor. If you have any illness, you must obtain a surgical clearance from your medical specialist.
Q3: How long will the results last?
