What is Hump Resection?
Hump Resection is a surgical procedure performed to reduce the shape and size of the dorsal hump which is usually prominent at the upper one-third of the nasal bridge. Dorsal hump, or hump nose, is primarily caused by an incomplete or excessive connection between the bone and septal cartilage during the development of the nasal bridge and is hereditary in most patients.
