What is Chin Implant?
Chin Implant, also popularly known as Chin Augmentation, is a surgery that is performed on the lower jawline and chin area to help improve facial proportions. An enhanced facial proportion can contribute greatly to help with self-confidence. This procedure is done by inserting a chin implant. An implant corrects and gives a permanent solution to the recessed chin, a condition in which the chin is shaped slightly too inwards to the neck and there is no obvious proportion of the chin. An obvious chin shape could make up a better facial appearance; for instance, a defined face shape allows a young and slimmer look.
How It Works
Chin Implant works by insertion of an artificial replacement for body parts called Prosthesis to enhance the recessed chin or improve the appearance of the chin as desired. At our affiliated clinic, general anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia will be administered for the procedure.
Moreover, for the ones who wish to remove the existing prosthesis done at the chin, our affiliated clinic also provides the service.
Chin Implant Procedure
1. A small incision will be made (either under the chin or inside the mouth)
2. Anesthesia will be given
3. A pocket will be created for the insertion of an implant
4. The implant will be placed inside this pocket
5. For the removal procedure, prosthesis inserted previously will be removed from the pocket
6. The incision will be closed using sutures
