FUE is a minimally invasive procedure in which hair follicles are individually removed from follicular unit grafts (taken from your genetically stronger area of the scalp (donor)) by making a small incision, and then restored at your thinning area (recipient).

Unlike the normal FUE method, during the DHI FUE (Direct Hair Implantation + FUE) method, extraction and graft implantation are performed simultaneously, embedding the hair follicles directly into recipient without incision at the donor area. This is done using implanted CHOI pen, connected to a tub and a plunger device.
