What is Eyebrow Lifting?

Eyebrow lifting can raise and reshape the eyebrow to improve the shape and/or weight of the eyebrows. The lines around the eyebrows or sagging eyebrows can affect your expressions to look frustrated, frowned or tired.

At our affiliated clinic, eyebrow lifting is done using thread lift. It is a non-surgical procedure in which tiny dissolvable threads will be inserted into the skin using a needle, and be pulled up to tighten the skin. As the body absorbs the thread, it stimulates collagen around the area, helping to maintain the lifted effect. Thread lift is a low-risk procedure due to the fact that it will not cause scarring, excessive bruising, swelling, bleeding or other complications.

The Double Thread Technique

At our affiliated clinic, the ‘double thread technique’ is used for eyebrow lifting. In this technique, the load of the threads will be placed in such a way that the yarns will take over each other, and the eyebrows can be lifted much more upwards. In addition, with this technique, the eyebrows will not sag again, making repetitions of treatment unnecessary.

FAQ

Q1: What type of anesthesia is used for eyebrow lifting?
A1: Patients can choose either deep sedation or general anesthesia. Local anesthesia can also be provided if it is approved by the doctor.

Q2: Is eyebrow lifting the same as an eyelid lift?
A2: No. An eyebrow lift aims to improve the appearance of your eyebrows by lifting your eyebrows. Some patients of eyebrow lifting may require upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) because they suffer from problems that occur in the upper eyelid region which cannot be corrected by an eyebrow lift. In such a case, the combination of eyebrow lifting and upper eyelid aesthetics is a possible option.

Q3: What should I do after the procedure?
A3: Avoid being under sunlight without protection for too long, avoid alcohol and anti-coagulant medicines for a week, and avoid temperature extremes (like sauna) for about 10 days. Please follow all aftercare guidelines provided by the doctor.
