Prosthesis Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgical treatment performed to modify nose shape by using prosthesis to enhance taller and shapelier effect of the nose.

Not all of us are blessed with a lovely nose shape. It is recommended to remove or replace oversized prostheses before the skin becomes thin.

2. Anesthesia is administered.
3. An incision is made inside the nostril.
4. The prosthesis is inserted under the periosteum of your nose.
5. Fine adjustments are made.
6. The incision is sutured.
7. Return to clinic after a week for thread removal (not necessary when absorbable thread is used).

Q1: Is it painful?
A1: The procedure is not painful as anesthesia will be administered. However, you may get discomfort and swelling following the procedure, but this is temporary.

Q2: Will the silicone prosthesis shift, move or float after my rhinoplasty?
A2: No, because prosthesis at our affiliated clinic is created to fit individual nose shapes.

Q3: Will I need to have any post-procedure touch-ups?
A3: Because rhinoplasty is a complicated procedure and the nose swells during the operation, there is a chance you may need to have some post-surgery touch-ups. About 15 percent of rhinoplasty operations require touch-up procedures.

Q4: Is it true that this treatment is only for thick-skinned people?
A4: It would be excellent if you have thick skin as the skin will provide coverage of the implant. Nonetheless, otherwise, you may still go for the surgery.

Q5: I smoke, is it okay to go for this treatment?
A5: In the case where you smoke or you have diabetes, you are more prone to suffer from an infection following a rhinoplasty.
