What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty or nose surgery sometimes referred to as “nose reshaping” or a “nose job,” is a treatment that improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, thus enhancing facial harmony and more self-confidence. Nose surgery is able to correct the nose size in relation to facial balance, nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked, and asymmetric noses.
How It Works
Rhinoplasty has 2 methods of treatment: open and closed.
The main difference between open and closed rhinoplasty is that open rhinoplasty is performed by making an incision on the soft tissue between the nostrils to lift back the skin for surgery, whereas closed rhinoplasty involves no incision on the outside of the nostrils, leaving no scars.
Closed rhinoplasty is considered less invasive and takes a shorter time to complete. However, there is limited space for the surgeons to work on compared to the open rhinoplasty, and hence the free to reshape and stabilization of the nose is easier and more accessible with the open rhinoplasty method.
Our affiliated clinic mostly performs closed rhinoplasty technique.
The procedure takes an average of 2.5 hrs to complete, however, a hospital stay is important for your comfort.
