What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation, also known shortly as SMP, is more than just a hair tattoo. The procedure is a popular non-surgical hair loss treatment in which natural pigments are applied within the dermal layer of the scalp; the results replicate a natural shaved head look, creating a fuller hair volume appearance.
Scalp Micropigmentation Procedure
1. Your follicle color and skin tone will be analyzed to decide on the pigment color
2. Topical anesthesia will be applied to numb your scalp
3. Small dots of ink will be applied at the targeted area sporadically

FAQ
Q1: Would it hurt?
A1: This depends on your pain tolerance. Before the treatment begins, topical anesthesia will be applied to numb your scalp. There may still be some discomfort.
Q2: How do I know if I make a good candidate for this?
Q2: People with scalp acne or other skin sensitives like psoriasis should avoid getting SMP during a breakout or flare-up, as it will be difficult to apply pigment to the inflamed areas. If you are prone to developing keloids, which are more common in darker skin, you may not be a good candidate for SMP.
Q3: How many sessions would I need?
A3: The human head has about 2,000 follicles per square inch, which is why the procedure is very intricate and detailed. Usually, around 3 sessions are needed to achieve the most desired look.
