What is Facelift?
A facelift is a surgical operation that helps to tighten and lift facial skin, resulting in tighter and lifted facial skin, hence a youthful appearance.
Face Lift works by making a surgical incision at the area of the ear and up into the hairline to remove excess skin that causes the loose and saggy appearance on the face and tighten up by pulling in an upwards direction to restore the firm and contoured look. The sutures will be used to stitch the incision and will be removed 7 days after the surgery.
How It Works
At our affiliated hospital, there is an alternate option available known as an endoscopic facelift.
An endoscopic facelift is an ideal solution to the sagging skin with its minimally invasive feature. The endoscopic facelift allows patients to achieve a tighter, younger-looking facial appearance without any extensive scars of a traditional facelift. The procedure with a less invasive nature also results in shorter recovery time.
Treatments Available
· Full facelift (forehead, temporal, mid-face)
· Mid-facelift
· Endoscopic mid-facelift

Direct Vs Indirect Brow Lift
The usual brow lift, also known as a direct brow lift is a treatment suitable for people of older age who have a receding hairline, whereas indirect brow lift is suitable for the ones who do not require any fixation regarding the hairline or forehead lift, only suffering from saggy eyebrows and wrinkles on the forehead.
Facelift Procedure
1. Consultation and examination
2. Application of anesthesia
3. Incision will be made in desired areas (endoscopic technique makes smaller incisions without compromising visualization by using intraoperative cameras)
4. Underlying tissue will be repositioned and deep submuscular layers of the face will be lifted. Excess skin will be removed
5. Incisions will be closed using sutures

FAQ
Q1: What is the best age to have a facelift?
A1: What matters is appearance and not age. It is a question of how much a person is bothered by something that can be fixed with a facelift. The oldest age is limited only by the health of a patient.
Q2: How much younger will a facelift make me look?
A2: A study showed a portfolio of photographs of a group of patients before a facelift and another portfolio of photographs to groups of observers, in which both groups of patients have the same age. On average, the facelift patients were judged to be 9 years younger.
Q3: Can laser treatments give me facelift results?
A3: Although lasers can remove broken capillaries and brown spots as well as flatten wrinkles, they do not tighten skin as much as a facelift does. In addition, lasers do not actually lift sagging tissue on the inside and cannot tighten necks.
Q4: Will a facelift remove my wrinkles?
A4: A facelift does not remove wrinkles, as it is more about lifting the skin. Fortunately, your wrinkles will look better due to the tightening of your skin.
Q5: Are there non-surgical ways to tighten or lift skin?
A5: Ultherapy, Thermage, and HIFU are all good alternatives, but are not permanent like a facelift.
Q6: How long does it take to recover from an endoscopic facelift?
A6: Endoscopic facelift helps to shorten the recovery period; usually, you will be able to normal activity after 2 weeks of healing.
