What is Hair Transplant?
Hair Transplants are the only surgical treatment in the correction of baldness in both men and women. It is an autologous surgical procedure that reconstructs hair by transferring your own hair from certain areas of the scalp to the bald area.
Our affiliated clinic offers 2 techniques for transplantation: the ARTAS® Robot 9x (robotic hair transplant procedure) or Manual FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction).
FUE Manual Transplant
An autologous microsurgical procedure that involves tranferring one's hair from certain areas of the scalp onto the bald area.
Takes about 4 to 6 months to see noticeable results.
FUE Robotic Artas 9x
Known as the only robotic hair transplant in the world - made to assist physicians in performing difficult and accurate movements, which results in enhanced results. Creates natural results with no scars.
How It Works
A set of hair strands forms a structure called the follicle, which is inserted along layers of the skin. These very small follicular units, about 0.8 mm in diameter and about 4 mm in length are isolated one by one and implanted/placed effectively and singularly at the balding area.
Around 4 to 6 months after surgery, the growth of these transplanted hairs begins to become visible. These transplanted hairs do not suffer from the androgenic action of DHT, which means that after their growth, they will not fall for that same reason.

FAQ
Q1: I smoke and drink alcohol. Can I undergo hair transplant?
A1: You should stop drinking alcohol and smoking at least 3 weeks before your scheduled hair transplant procedure.
Q2: How long does inflammation after a hair transplant typically last?
A2: About 1 week.
Q3: How long will it take for me to recover and how long will it be until my hair is fully restored?
A3: Most people are able to return to work 2 to 5 days after the operation. Within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery, your transplanted hair will fall out, but you should start to notice new growth within a few months. Most people will see 60% of new hair growth after 6 to 9 months. For some people, it might take 8 to 12 months.
Q4: Is hair transplant painful?
A4: This surgical procedure is painless after the administration of local anesthesia. There are some instances when you may feel some discomfort or soreness, although it is always bearable. Discomfort may occur at the onset of local anesthesia administration and in the early stages of wound healing of the donor area.
Q5: What is the difference between FUE with Robotic technology and FUE manual transplant?
A5: Both deliver amazing hair transplant results. However, robotic FUE uses digital imaging and precision robotics to reduce manual unevenness. Hence, robotic FUE produces enhanced results without a single trace of the procedure having been done.
