What is Velvet Skin?

Velvet skin is an innovative treatment for loose, rough, and dull skin. The procedure combines massage peel with Dermapen to achieve a soft and smooth velvet-like skin texture along with the tightened effect.

The massage peel used is PRX-T33, a blend of low concentration hydrogen peroxide in 33% high concentration TCA and kojic acid, which helps with the skin whitening effect as well. With Dermapen 4 making holes on the skin, the treatment stimulates cell regeneration and promotes collagen production for an effective skin-repairing mechanism. As a result, the skin will be rejuvenated while the pores will be tightened.

How It Works

Previously, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) has been used for skin peeling, but with the painful experience and long downtime, a new formulation is then discovered. PRX-T33 does not cause skin peeling as the combination of low concentration hydrogen peroxide and TCA offers a shorter period of treatment time without any pain while penetrating into the deep dermis for skin turnover and rejuvenation to happen.

33% TCA promotes the expression of fibroblast growth factor without peeling the epidermis or harming the skin, and at the same time hydrogen peroxide enhances the affinity to the receptor. Moreover, kojic acid plays the main role in skin lightening; reduction of dark spots and skin whitening effect can be expected.
