What is Botox?

Botox or Botulinum toxin is a protein and neurotoxin produced by a bacteria known as Clostridium Botulinum. The Botox injection is a non-invasive method of injecting a protein into the tissues to paralyze and weaken the muscles that are responsible for the lines and wrinkles on our face. Apart from that, Botulinum toxin can also be used to treat other conditions such as severe sweating and drooling by blocking the chemicals that turn on sweat and salivary glands.

Allergan Botox Vista at Our Affiliated Clinic

Allergan is a well-known brand in the medical as well as medical aesthetics industry. Our affiliated clinic uses botulinum toxin type A to treat crow's feet, forehead lines and glabellar frown lines. It is a prescription medicine for adults that is injected into muscles and used for a short period of time (temporary) to improve wrinkles by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. It is also a good preventive measure to stop wrinkles from forming or get deeper. The number of injections will be decided upon consultation with the doctor, taking into account the condition of wrinkles.
