What is Buttock Implants Surgery?
Buttock implants surgery, or buttock augmentation is a procedure to enhance the size and shape of buttocks by placing a cohesive-gel prosthetic in the butt. This will create volume, improve appearance and feel of the buttocks. Usually, this procedure is performed on those who are thin or do not have enough fats to undergo liposuction and fat grafting (or Brazilian Butt Lift) procedure. Overall, butt implants surgery has documented a high satisfaction rate among those who opted for the procedure.
At our affiliated clinic, available butt implants are Mentor Cohesive Gel, Nagor and Eurosilione.
Mentor Cohesive Gel Implant
Mentor Cohesive Gel are breast implants placed in the butt. Although breast implants are used instead of butt implants, the visual difference between the two is quite insignificant. These implants provide the soft, natural feel that patients desire and are available in a wide range of sizes and profiles to fit the patient’s body. Each implant is filled with the Mentor proprietary cohesive gel that holds together uniformly.
Nagor Implants
These butt implants are manufactured by Nagor, a well-known British manufacturer for implants and related medical devices. Global Consolidated Aesthetics (GC Aesthetics) which has over 40 years of experience in developing and manufacturing implants is the umbrella company for 2 leading implant manufacturers, Nagor and Eurosilicone. All Nagor products have CE mark certification.
Eurosilicone
Eurosilicone is also a manufacturer under GC Aesthetics. Eurosilicone is one of Europe's leading brands in the production of breast implants, with 25 years of market experience. Their butt implants are cleared by FDA and provide a natural feeling as well as comfort in movement.
How It Works
On the first day, Preoperative test consultation is done to outline a surgical plan. Surgery will take place on the following day. In the surgery, you will be given either Regional Blockage and IV sedation, local anesthesia, or general anesthesia, depending on the doctor’s decision.
Incisions will take place inside the butt cheeks to reduce scarring visibility. Implants will be placed either into or above the gluteal muscle, depending on your suitability. After surgery, recovery may take several weeks. For butt implants surgery, you may have to spend 2 nights at the hospital for optimum care and comfort. After that, you may opt to recover in your hotel for 4 to 7 days.
Procedure for Buttock Implants Surgery
1. Consultation and examination will be done.
2. Surgical plan will be outlined according to your suitability and desired results.
3. Before the procedure, anesthesia will be administered.
4. Incisions will be made within the vertical butt crease and implants will be slid into or above the gluteal muscle on each side.
5. End of surgery. After surgery consultation will be done on the next day before you can return home or to the hotel for recovery.

FAQ
Q1: Is it possible for me to fly back home after checking out of the hospital?
A1: Technically, you can fly back home the next day after surgery, but please be reminded that this can affect recovery and final results since it is not recommended to sit down for a long period of time. If you must, please purchase an inflatable seat to sit on during your flight. Do consult with the doctor to determine if it’s okay for you to do so.
Q2: I’ve heard that it is possible that the implants can slip out of place. Is this true?
A2: Yes, there is a risk of the implants slipping out of place. That is why it’s important to adhere to the aftercare guidelines given by the doctor and to attend follow-up sessions to monitor your condition.
Q3: What is the infection rate for Butt Implants?
A3: Low infection rate of 1 to 3%.
Q4: What can I do to avoid getting an infection with Butt Implants?
A4: Follow all post-care instructions and practice good hygiene. The doctor will provide guidance on how to clean the area.
Q5: What do I do if I have an infection and I am back home?
A5: Risk of infection is high for the first 1 to 4 days, hence why it’s important to stay in Mexicali during the period. But if you are back home and experience infection signs, take photos and contact the doctor immediately. If you are feeling sick, please visit the local hospital.
Q6: When will full results be visible?
A6: Although the results after surgery will already be significant, please wait until 3 months post-surgery to see full results.
