Got a Question ?

It Is Suitable For

· Those in Bangkok interested to go for skin permeability treatment.
· Those with hyperpigmented scars, melasma, wrinkles, freckles or mild acne.
· Those who wish to reduce and improve melasma, wrinkles, freckles and hyperpigmented scars.
· Those who wish to brighten and smoothen their skin.
· Those who wish to improve skin permeability and thereby improve the signs of aging.

What is Electroporation?

Electroporation is a procedure in which an externally applied electrical field causes an increase in the electrical conductivity and permeability of the cell plasma membrane. This is usually used in molecular biology as a way of introducing certain substances into cells. Currently, studies on electroporation focus on physically enhancing skin penetration through high voltage, short duration pulses applied to the skin. This has been shown to effectively enhance skin penetration of molecules and water-based compounds and may be able to deliver compounds such as skin nutrients and growth factors into the skin of the face more effectively.

Electroporation focuses on:
· Skin rejuvenation
· Brightening and smoothening of skin
· Hyperpigmented scars
· Freckles
· Melasma
· Wrinkles

Electroporation Procedure

1.  You will be evaluated by the dermatologist to have your skin problems identified.
2. Through electroporation, medicine is applied to your face in a circular motion for about 30 minutes.
3. Once a week of treatment until the completion of regimen is recommended.

Advantages and Limitations of Electroporation

<Advantages>
· Reduces wrinkles and creases
· Improves pigmentation, mild acne, melasma
· Improves skin permeability
· Smoothens and tightens skin
· Brightening effect
· Non-invasive
· No downtime
· Skin will continue to improve over time

<Limitations>
· More than 1 session may be required

FAQ

Q1: Is electroporation better than iontophoresis?
A1: Iontophoresis uses small electrically charged ions to deliver chemicals applied on the skin and through the many layers of the skin. Quite similarly, electroporation enhances skin permeability using a high-voltage electric field. However, a difference between electroporation and iontophoresis is that the number of transdermal pathways available via electroporation is over 500 times more than there are in iontophoresis. In short, skin penetration is much better under electroporation.

Q2: How many sessions do I need?
A2: This depends on the severity of your skin problems. However, for best results, you are recommended to opt for twice a week for 4 – 6 weeks.
