What is Tattoo Removal?
Laser tattoo removal provides the convenience of removing unwanted tattoos without undergoing more invasive methods like surgery or dermabrasion.
At our affiliated clinic, tattoo removal is done using the PicoSure laser. Typically, conventional Q-switched lasers could only eliminate large ink particles, but PicoSure laser can destroy smaller ink particles in half the number of sessions of conventional ones.
It is also more unlikely to damage the surrounding skin since it uses ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy. This means that PicoSure delivers ultra-short bursts of energy within trillionths of a second, giving a strong and accurate photo-mechanical impact for better and cleaner tattoo pigment clearance with fewer sessions.
This photo below shows the difference in tattoo intensity after just 3 sessions.
How It Works
PicoSure laser produces ultra-short pulses that can crush the black and colored pigments really finely. This shockwave enables a treatment with reduced post-inflammatory effects. The finely crushed ink pigments are also easily eliminated naturally by the body.
Treatment Procedure
1. Consultation and examination of skin condition.
2. Application of topical anesthesia.
3. The laser will be directed at the areas to be treated.
4. End of treatment.
5. Attend repeat sessions as needed.

FAQ
Q1: Although the side effects of laser tattoo removal are minimal, may I know what these side effects are?
A1: Although rare, you may experience hypopigmentation, which means the skin being treated becomes paler than the skin surrounding it. You may also have hyperpigmentation, which leaves the affected skin slightly darker than the rest of your skin.
Q2: My tattoo is very black. Should I go for laser tattoo removal?
A2: Yes, you should. In fact, black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest color to treat.
Q3: When can shower or take a bath after the treatment?
A3: It is possible to do so on the same day after the procedure.
Q4: How many treatments/sessions will I need to completely remove my tattoo?
A4: The number of treatments depends on the size of the tattoo as well as its location, depth and color. The tattoo will fade slowly between treatments as the body removes the remainders of the tattoo pigment.
Q5: Can I exercise after the laser tattoo removal?
A5: Please refrain from strenuous activities, sweating and saunas on the same day after the procedure as it can lead to irritation. You may start exercising from the next day onwards.
