What is Endodontic Treatments?

One of the most important parts of the teeth is the dental pulp. The pulp or pulp chamber is the soft area within the center of the tooth connected to the root by root canals, which contains the nerve, blood vessels, and connective tissue. When the dental pulp is damaged severely, this can cause tooth roots to have problems to the extent that surgery has to be done to remove the roots, hence known as Endodontic Treatments.

How It Works

Endodontic Treatments at our affiliated clinic have 8 separated procedure:
· Pulp capping
· Desensitization of tooth
· Pulpotomy (primary/baby tooth)
· Post and core - metal
· Post and core - fiber
· Surgical endodontic
· Simple apicectomy (root removal)
· Surgical apicectomy (root removal surgery with general anesthesia)

Pulp Capping

It is a dental restoration technique used to prevent dental pulp from necrosis after being exposed or nearly exposed during cavity preparation.

Surgical Endodontic

Simple Apicectomy

Removal of the tip of the tooth root, known as the apex; carried out under local anesthesia as a minor surgical operation in the situation where infection or cysts persists after root canal treatment or the dentist is unable to seal the root tip with a normal root filling.

Apicectomy with GA

Also known as root end surgery, performed under general anesthesia. The procedure is the removal of the tip of the tooth root, known as the apex; it is necessary for the situation where infection or cysts persists after root canal treatment or the dentist is unable to seal the root tip with a normal root filling.
