HIFU (High Density Focused Ultrasound) is a technology that destroys fat cells with a strong force by concentrating the thermal energy of ultrasound at a specific point. The high-frequency beams used in HIFU devices can help it to reach beneath the layers of the skin, all without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface. Thermal energy can be passed through skin to the target area without damaging the skin by adjusting the desired frequency of ultrasonic wave. The target area may be heated up to 50°C, where fats break down.

ULTRAcel Q+ (HIFU) is a non-surgical face lift treatment with fast procedure. Ultrasound energy has wavelengths that can precisely penetrate deep into the deep tissues with higher temperature compared to other treatments. The resulting heat from HIFU device will increase blood and lymphatic circulation as well as the natural healing process, which in turn will stimulate growth of collagen and elastin. It is suitable for those with a higher degree of sagging skin, and treatment areas include the cheeks, nasolabial fold, around the eyes and eyelids. For HIFU Tight, maintenance session can be done once a month, a shorter interval compared to the normal HIFU treatment.

1. Target areas will be cleaned.
2. Local anesthesia may be applied if needed (requires 20 mins extra).
3. An ultrasound gel will be applied.
4. HIFU device will be placed against the skin treatment area.
5. The device will be adjusted to the right setting, after which ultrasound energy will be delivered to the treatment areas in short pulses.
