What Is PRP Treatment?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has become increasingly popular non-surgical procedure for facial and skin rejuvenation. This treatment uses your own blood platelets to stimulate new cell growth to improve your complexion, skin texture and restore facial volume.
PRP can also be used to successfully treat thinning hair and hair loss particularly male pattern baldness. It is important to start treatment early and a consultation can help to determine if you are a suitable candidate.
How It Works
Blood will be taken from the patient and placed into a special centrifuge. This will enable the separation of the blood cells from the plasma and platelets. Then platelets will then be combined with a special substrate to enhance the effects before being injected into the skin to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.
PRP harnesses the beneficial functions of the patients’ own platelets and therefore there is no risk of allergy or rejection of the treatment.
At our affiliated clinic, you may opt for PRP with Hyaluronic Acid for better results.

FAQ
Q1: How long can PRP treatments for my hair last?
A1: Studies found that PRP treatments for hair loss are good for about 6 weeks or so. You may require another treatment after 1 year.
Q2: Any side effects?
A2: You may experience mild to moderate swelling and/or redness, or heat in the treated area, which are common side effects in the activation of your platelets.
Q3: What is the difference between PRP and fillers?
A3: PRP can stimulate your own collagen to grow for a total facial rejuvenation rather than only giving improvement of specific areas. PRP is also more effective in increasing volume, skin plumping, improving overall skin tone and the texture of the skin, as well as filling in areas that cannot be reach by hyaluronic acid fillers.
Q4: How many treatments do I require?
A4: Most patients will require 3 treatments at 4 to 6 week intervals. Because the injected product is 100% your own, factors such as smoking, stress and illness can effect results. A series of 3 treatments can yield results for up to two years.
