What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is the liquid aspect of blood which houses all the cellular components of blood such as red and white blood cells, as well as platelets. Since it contains "growth factors" that revitalize the body's cells, treatments involving the injection of PRP into the skin are highly effective at promoting collagen formation and epidermal growth.
In short, growth factors promote collagen formation and epidermal growth, and this in turn supports the improvement of wrinkled faces.
Components of PRP
PRP consists of:
· Fibroblast Growth Factor (Repairing of tissue, production of hyaluronic acid and collagen)
· Epidermal Growth Factor (Promoting growth of epithelial cells, angiogenesis, and wound treatment)
· Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (Cell proliferation/vascularization/repair, production of collagen)
· VEGT (Vascular endothelial cell proliferation/neoplasia)
· TGF-β (Promoting treatment of proliferation and new wounds of epithelial cells and vascular endothelium)
