As we age, muscles around our face and neck become loose, resulting in sagging skin. This is accompanied by deep creases around the nose and mouth. 1. Anesthesia will be administered.
2. An incision will be made starting from the front of the earlobe, down the ear and into the lower scalp. A small incision will also be made under the chin (for the face lift).
3. Tissue underlying the neck skin will be repositioned. In addition, neck muscles will be tightened.
4. Excess skin will be removed. If necessary, an incision will be made under the chin to tighten the muscle in this area.
5. Incision will be closed with sutures or and skin adhesives.
