What are Oral Surgery Treatments?
Oral surgery treatments are known to be any procedures which involve making incision or removing tissue from inside your mouth. Apart from tooth removal, gum surgery and getting yourself a dental implant, getting rid of a diseases tissue like cysts and correcting your jaw problems can also be settled by oral surgeries.

Usually carried out after administering local anaesthesia, teeth extraction are carried out to remove dysfunction teeth.
· Root Apex Resection
If your problems cannot be solved by conservative treatments, root resection is done to conserve the tooth by reaching through the cyst cavity. Sometimes it is known as amputation and done to ensure it serves the functions.
· Wisdom Tooth Removal
In some cases, wisdom teeth need to be removed as no space is left in your mouth. When this happen, you will experience excruciating pain and several other problems like inflammation, formation of cyst and few others may occur.
Cysts may occur inside the oral cavity. Removal of cyst is usually done with surgical excavation and other treatments like root canal filling, dissection and resection might also be done if necessary.
· Dental Replantation
When you have a dislocated tooth and it is starting to splint, then can be useful.
· Frenectomy / Frenulotomy

Oral Surgery Post Care
Teeth require regular care:
· Brush your teeth at least twice a day - after eating and before bedtime
· Floss your teeth once or twice a day
· Rinse vigorously with fluoride rinse for at least one minute before bed
· Be careful in chewing toffees, gum, and tough food
· Go for regular dental check-ups
· Follow specific instructions from the doctor
Q1: My dentist said that I have a cyst, must it be removed? What will happen if I leave it?
A1: The cyst is generally comprised of tissues in a closed sac. If the cyst involves in serious complication, you will be required to go for major surgery to remove part of your jaw. Therefore, it is better to have it removed.
Q2: How will I know if I have a cyst in my mouth?
A2: Usually when cyst is present, the nearby teeth may get damaged or loose. The nerves in your jaw may be affected as well. Try to visit your dentist twice a year to get better prevention measures.
Q3: Will I be able to work after getting my surgery?
A3: You would want to take at least a day or two off work to relax and heal. There could be cases where you could be given a rest for a few weeks too.
Q4: Can I do Frenectomy on my newly born baby?
A4: We do not suggest you do that. Although, it can improve breastfeeding for some baby. Your child's medical history will need to be evaluated first.
