The Candela GentleLASE is a high energy, long-pulse laser that can treat skin cosmetic issues like pigmented lesions, veins and wrinkles. The laser works by targeting any pigmented lesion using an intense burst of light, which means a selective heating of the upper dermis that does not damage the surrounding tissues. This heat will stimulate a natural healing response from the body to produce collagen and healthier skin cells. The pigmentation area will gradually fade over time as the skin heals. After the procedure, the treated area may seem darker and flaking is common as the healing process takes place.
